The love story began when Gordon met Sui in Manchester University. After many years of courtship Gordon finally proposed and they are getting married this November. Now working and living in Hong Kong they made a journey back to the UK for a romantic break travelling to some favourite places where we caught up with them for two days of photographs.
The last location was a sunset trip from Chatsworth house to Baslow edge to watch the sun shed it last rays across the peak district. Gordon had good reason to want to return there because standing proud on the moor over Baslow is weather beaten Eagle rock. There is a local legend that if a man wants to prove his worthiness to marry he must conquer this rock and climb to the top…something Gordon managed to do some years previously. So a return trip with his bride-to-be on a glorious summer evening was a fitting end to the tale and a privilege to capture through the lens.
Many congratulations to Gordon and Sui xx
” It will be perfect if we can proof ourselve by climbing that rock again, unfortunately it was getting dark so quickly… But it’s good to get my lady here to share the sunset which i want to do it so many years ago, well done! It seems telling we are looking forwards to the future, good photo skill guys. Thanks a lot!” …Gordon
