Celebrate the arrival of your newborn baby with a photo shoot!  Together we could capture the special moments of your precious baby that I hope you will treasure for years to come.   To get those lovely curled up, tiny baby photos, it is ideal to book your session before your baby is due.  I’d recommend the photo shoot to be taken they are 10 days to two weeks old.

You have the option of a baby portrait session in a studio or we could travel to the comfort of your home.  I’m passionate about creating beautiful images and aim to ensure the portrait session is enjoyable for you and your baby.

Preparing for a newborn baby photo shoot

Babies tend to be more relaxed after feeding, so it would help if you could feed him or her before the photo shoot.  Newborn babies look cute and more natural when they are photographed nude but a beautiful blanket or shawl could make your images more personal if you like.  It makes a perfect background and plain tends to work better than patterned.

It is recommended to keep clothing colours neutral and keep the clothing comfortable to make them feel less restricted.  Please avoid clothing with big logos/brand names and commercial characters as they will distract and date the photograph in years to come.

How much would a newborn baby photo shoot cost?

A gentle and relaxed newborn baby photo shoot would take as long as your baby needs, typically two to three hours and costs £150.  This includes a 10″ x 8″ contemporary framed print, travel expenses within 20 miles of Sheffield and the photographer’s fee.
