ZhuJiaJiao, China…a quick visit

Historic water town on the outskirts of Shanghai – ZhuJiaJiao

Taking a brief moment from parenting to edit some of the pictures of our time in China. We remember we ran for the bus from People’s Park and stood for nearly the whole journey from the city to a well known tourist destination called ZhuJiaJiao. It is a partially preserved water town outside the burgeoning metropolis of Shanghai. In a country where rapid urbanisation and demolition appears to be the norm, conservation is something of a new urban concept and this place is very popular.
